BDJ Box 2014: March
this month’s surprise beauty box from BDJ was a truly delightful one: a mini collection of some deluxe-sized goodies from BENEFIT!
ain’t the cover just so pretty?
i secretly wished there would be an included sample of their famous they’re real mascara (i tried a mini one before and loved it, but cannot seem to justify shelling out all that dough for the full size), but sad to say it was nowhere to be found. however the box was still chock-full of treats that made me more excited than i care to admit.
first is the cult favorite porefessional pro balm (P1600), a face primer that helps minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines for smoother skin and easier foundation application. i do own this primer and i have to say i am not too fond of it, although that may be because i’ve never been too into primers anyway (they never seem to work the way they should on my skin!). with this new sample though i may just give it another go and see how i like it this time.
i am also not a huge eye primer gal but for some reason the stay don’t stray (P1400) makes me giddy with excitement. apparently it isn’t just for use on the lids, but for the under eye area as well! let’s see if this really will stop creasing of both concealers and eyeshadows. *fingers crossed*
i have heard rave after rave on benefit’s hello flawless oxygen wow foundation (P1900), an oil-free liquid base that brightens your complexion with a nice light-to-medium coverage. i quickly tried the sample that i got (in shade ivory) on one side of my face and though a hair too light for my skin, gives a nice healthy glow. can’t wait to play around with it some more!
another face primer in the box is the stay flawless 15-hour primer (P1900), which keeps foundation looking fresh and intact for — surprise — 15 hours. will this hold up on my ever-oily skin? we shall see!
i am also très excited to wear the under my spell noelle eau de toilette (P2000), a woody floral scent described as glamorous and enticing. personally i find it a little too overwhelming for my every day wear, but i imagine i’d get plenty of compliments on it at special events.
finally, something to top all my make-up off: the porefessional agent zero shine (P1600), a mattifying, invisible-finish powder that smoothens skin and shrinks the look of pores. i doubt i will use the little brush it came with but i will definitely sweep some of this on top of my favorite foundations!
have you signed up for the BDJ box yet? if not, well…what are you waiting for? amazing treats like these await every single month! 🙂
