Avon Over Nature Collection Review & Swatches
i got a fun surprise in the mail a while ago: avon philippines’ pretty new over nature collection, featuring a make-up palette, eight colorful lipsticks, a printed brassiere (not pictured), a matching jewelry set and the brand’s ‘only imagine’ perfume.
i already have the perfume (P1500), which captures a delightful fusion of floral and fruity notes, but it’s always nice to have a back-up! the necklace and earring set (P549) is a lovely addition to my ever-so-feminine collection of trinkets.
after opening the box i played around with the make-up palette, which, as you can tell, is filled with sparkly eyeshadows and a couple of subtle matte blush shades. i do like the blushes (great for everyday looks!) but the eyeshadows leave a bit something to be desired. they are not as pigmented or buttery as i would like, but all that shimmer does look pretty and i’m sure a bit of primer will do the trick.
the undeniable star of the show is the over nature lipstick selection (P269 each): eight beautiful shades in the brand’s ultra color rich formula, which guarantees not only vibrant hues but luxuriously smooth application as well.

true enough these lipsticks glide on effortlessly on the lips, leaving lush, opaque color with 1-2 swipes. most of them have a creamy satin finish, except for tender tulip and african daisy, which are both frosted.
my personal favorites are pink lily for everyday wear, orchid fantasy for that pretty pop of plum, and the stunning wild rose shade, which is the first blue-based red i’ve tried that actually looks flattering on me (makes my teeth look super white!).
the over nature collection is certainly a pretty one, but i think the lipsticks are the most remarkable and certainly worth a purchase. though the shades may not necessarily offer anything new or particularly unique, i find them to be beautiful nonetheless (some even classic staples) and in a formula that truly impresses. are you planning to pick any of these up from your avon lady?
