Just Partly Yellow

it was shortly after a particularly satisfying lunch and my friend and i managed to snap these photos just minutes before that day’s round of heavy downpour. it was insanely windy so — as you can tell — my hair was all over the place, dust kept getting into my eyes and people were bustling through the sidewalk in what i imagined to be a panic to get to their destination before the ominous clouds unleashed yet another bout of rain. as much as we struggled to get this set completed, i was still excited about the rain as i had dressed specifically for it. just the day before, i checked a couple of weather forecasts that predicted thunderstorms in the metro so i pulled out a sweater and my favorite tights and braced myself for some snuggly weather. i know not a lot of people check in with forecasts to determine something so trivial as an outfit, but in the years that i have done it, i’ve found it to be not only helpful but incredibly fun as well. of course, inaccurate forecasts that leave you dressed in bundles on bright, sunny days are a different story altogether..
