But We From New York City

i’ve traveled to a couple of places outside the country but not to the US yet, which never really bothers me EXCEPT when i think of new york. it may come as no surprise (probably sounds like a cliché, too!) that NYC is my dream city — to visit and, perhaps, even live in. i imagine walking every day along its busy streets, gasping in awe at the glorious buildings and all the beautiful blinding lights. and because i am me, i will eternally live as a cheesy, giddy tourist in the big apple, never growing tired of its sights and sounds and the daily grind. even as decades pass me by i will continue to be amazed at how lucky i’ve been to have lived the dream.
