3 Makeup Looks To Try This Summer + A Giveaway!

one of my favorite things to do in the summer is experimenting with fun makeup looks to complement the bright, sizzling heat. i recently got a bunch of Avon goodies perfect for this time of year, so i came up with three different looks to go with the season — and beyond! perks of living in tropical climes, amirite?

FRESH & FLUTTERY

GET THE LOOK: a good base is key here, so i made sure i set my face with the Avon Ideal White Dual Powder Foundation (SPF24), which is enriched with glutathione to keep skin looking fresh and bright not only for the day, but in the long run as well. to keep with the fresh-faced theme, i blotted a bit of the Beauty Lip Stylo in Sunset for that sweet, gradient lip look, and i’m obsessed with it! it’s an especially great way to wear intense lip colors that may seem a little intimidating.

i topped off this look with one of my all-time favorite mascaras, the Supershock Max Volume Waterproof Mascara in Black. this stuff lengthens, volumizes and doesn’t budge for hours, but is easy to remove at the end of the day.

GET THE LOOK: for this one, Avon’s True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Glow Teal is the star of the show. first, i drew on a cat eye shape on my lids using a white kohl eyeliner (pro tip: use tape on the sides to get a super sharp wing). then i topped it with 3 colors from the palette: white on the inner corners, teal in the middle and the darker blue on the outer edges. i blended between each shade to get that pretty gradient transition, and applied some of the taupe color on my lower lash line to balance out the look.

i knew i needed to frame my eyes well to make the eyeliner stand out, so i used the Perfect Eyebrow Kit in Soft Brown. a quick swipe of the Beauty Lip Stylo in Totally Twig gives the most flattering my-lips-but-better hue, which perfectly complements the look. it gives just the right amount of color without overpowering my vibrant lids.

GET THE LOOK: the choices are endless with this one, what with all sorts of amazing, vivid lip hues available nowadays. red has always been my favorite though, especially when paired with retro winged eyeliner. i love this look against a flawless matte canvas, so i used the Avon True Color Oil Control Plus Pressed Powder (SPF 19), which keeps my skin looking lovely and shine-free for hours.

i used the oh-so-stunning Ultra Hydrating Lip Color in Red Tulip, blotted slightly for a creamy matte finish. i applied a couple layers of the Avon One Great Mascara as well, which i like to wear under falsies since it leaves my lashes soft and fluttery for all day comfort.

WEAR IT WITH: the season’s biggest trend and my personal fave — gingham! i got my dress from fashionmia. super cute, no?
