i hate to say this but more and more i find myself getting annoyed by the incessant rains we’ve been having — more so when i am caught off guard while i’m out and about (to be fair i do still enjoy it when i spend my days snuggled indoors, hah). one way that i like to take my mind off of it is by dressing up in layers, and in the process getting weird looks from strangers i encounter along the way. it is a constant reminder of how most people still find it an unusual thing, to be walking in a mall somewhere and encounter a local girl wearing anything more than super short shorts. it’s even funnier when people straight up stare at me, like the little crazy that i am. i certainly never mind it: all the extra [lightweight] clothing that i don keeps me from getting chilly in this weather (we also like to spend our time inside freezing movie theaters, it seems) and it does cheer me up on otherwise very gloomy days.

plus, in this particular case, my glorious red beret called for something more than a flimsy summer dress to keep it company. 😉
