ennui
after an insane work schedule for the last few weeks, i finally spent a slow (or rather, dull) day in the office. i decided to play a bit with my camera and take advantage of the usually deserted hallway leading to the restrooms. don’t worry, it doesn’t stink there or anything.
my typical work sched is 2-10 pm. as i am still not comfortable enough to divulge the details of my job, let’s just say it’s stress, stress, stress. (with a couple of bitchy demanding bosses thrown in.) it’s mostly fieldwork, too, and i hardly have time to mingle with colleagues during the day. but last wednesday i was only out for a couple of hours and the rest of my evening was spent staring into space or else watching some coworkers gossip about our bitchy understandably high-maintenance boss.
anyway, my outfit has two versions: one with heels and big hair plus a girly headband thrown in, and another with my most overused flats and hair crammed into a comfortabe bun. i do get tired wearing heels so i always take ballet flats or a pair of slippers to change into, and i put my hair up because our company turns off the a/c most of the day. they guise it under “we are conserving energy to help alleviate global warming” but it’s really more like “we could not care less if employees get baked in the furnace that is the office room”.
ah, to be a member of the work force…
sorry for the weird, mis-matched colors of the pictures. i’ve been editing them on separate computers so the results are not very consistent.

You look nice. I love the shoes. My bosses are nice, but work is still so tiring!
