hazed and dazed
thank you for those who commented on my last post. apparently there are more people out there who actually follow this blog, which was a nice surprise… so thank you.(:
anyway, i know the questions i threw out there were less than original. they, in fact, underlie some of the most basic issues of fashion/style, self-expression and individuality. i myself have commented on such questions dozens of times, on many different blogs, and i always end up saying something like ‘screw them ignorant bitches; rock your outfit like no one else could’. and i always meant it, too.
i guess what was different this time was how affected i was, suddenly, of the events that transpired that day when i wore that particular outfit. because i am usually capable of shrugging things off – indeed no matter how harsh they are – i was caught off-guard by the man’s rudeness.
but enough of that. you’re all right with the things that you said… it is indeed human nature to not only speak your mind about something but also be affected by the things said about you. and yes, i must rise above it all and wear what i want to wear because, dammit, i know i look good.
*nervous giggle*
dress – from jatujak market, bangkok
purple belt – thrifted
strappy shoes – aldo
feather fascinator – fabrichild
i usually hate it when my camera turns out hazy or ‘foggy’ pictures (who doesn’t?). but the first one of this batch turned out pretty nicely, methinks.
sadly, i did the stupid thing of wiping the lense right after it was shot, so the other pictures taken after it were all nice and clear. boo.

You DO look good. I like the dress and fascinator.
It is human nature to speak one’s mind, that is why some people have good parents who teach them self-control! I suppose not everyone is so luck to learn social expectations…
In this world it is very difficult to be wholly free and ourselves…clothes are just another way we attempt to restrict each other. 🙁

YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL!
your style is so cute and girly, indeed, but that´s nothing to worry about.
because that´s YOU.
Life is so short to always care about people would think.
Screw all those ignorant bitches, rock your outfit like no one else could and throw them a Vogue on their face 🙂
lots of love from Mexico 😀

Hi dolly, me and my friends recently went to an ukay shopping spree at cubao, according to the directions you gave at your past blog entry. I had a really great time and bought a TON of things, but sadly my friends were only able to buy a few things. hehe. anyway, I would just like to ask how you disinfect the shoes that you buy, as I haven’t been able to use mine in fears of contracting a fungal infection or something. Thanks! (BTW, how could I have forgotten to bookmark your blog? I absolutely love your outfits. That rude man sure deserves a lesson in fashion 😛 seriously, you dress really good, all the haters to the left!)

hi juliebee! i’m so happy for you! and honestly, i can’t believe my vague directions got you there! hahaha.
anyway i use lysol as disinfectant. just buy one of those spray can thingies (in your favourite scent!) and disinfect away.;b oh and don’t forget to let it air dry. i usually do it 2-3 times before wearing the shoes, and so far so good.(:
thank you for your kind words.(:
