Thrifting Surprises

i paid a visit to a nearby thrift store with a specific objective: to buy these booties i’ve been eyeing for weeks.

and that’s it. i told myself i wouldn’t buy anything else.

but of course, i couldn’t resist the urge to look around. so i checked some of the racks of clothes (they were on sale!) and somehow went home with a few extras. a dress, a scarf and four tops.

the two shirts with peter pan collars are particularly adorable. my head is already whizzing with ideas on what to pair them with! i’m pretty sure the blue one is some type of school uniform, but who cares? i think it’s extremely cute. i am such a sucker for gingham.

look at this striped sailor blouse! it’s perfect for summer.

i finally found an oversized chambray shirt (like those vintage ones all over fashion blogs at the moment!) that i like. i can’t wait to wear it! i’ve a feeling i’m gonna be living in this shirt for months.

here is a leopard (cheetah? haha i’ve no idea)-print scarf i found. it may be the only animal print thing i own! it’s rather exciting.:p

aaaand a lovely gray dress with the prettiest sheer sleeves and ruffles! i just fell in love with it. looks like there used to be some kind of bow on the neckline but it’s been ripped out, so i’m off to find a replacement. a basic black tie would complete the look, methinks.

..now there’s a sewing project i am qualified to do! haha.
