mango used to be my go-to brand of clothing, but after a while it just seemed to get drowned out by more impressive selections from places like topshop, zara and recently, forever 21. but on a particularly dreary day when i was starting to recover from my sickness, i thought i’d dress up a bit and pay the nearest mango branch a visit.
and what is a store visit without some good ol’ sneaky picture-taking in the dressing rooms?
the one i went to had cramped dressing rooms though, so it was a bit of a challenge getting head-to-toe shots. but you get the idea of what i looked like.
i gotta say, it was tough choosing stuff to try on because there were so many awesome things on the racks. i nearly brought half the store into my dressing room but i didn’t want to draw too much attention to myself.
i first tried on a basic shirt-and-shorts combo and was amazed to see that the top (with the supercool shoulder pads) cost less that php1,000!
then i went for a graphic tee paired with a really pretty skirt. the pleats were a dream! i’d totally buy it if i weren’t on a shopping ban right now.
i also picked an “office-y” dress because i missed dressing up for work! drop-waists usually don’t work for me but this one was just too cute to pass up.
and finally, a nautical-themed outfit. the dress was a tad loose on me, considering it was an XS. still, it looked really cute with the red cardi i picked out!
i may have left the store without anything in my hands but i certainly had fun — even with the glaring looks i got from the sales ladies there. haha.
