Boots To Work
these photos were taken at the beginning of the year (the first work day of 2011!), but i only got around to posting them now because my camera went missing for weeks. it drove me crazy! but thank goodness i finally found it.
a few people have asked about my current job, and although i briefly described it before, i thought i’d do a separate post to show you a bit of where i work and the people i work with.
i am a copywriter for an events/advertising agency. i’m in charge of writing advertorials, pr material and other such copy for our clients. i also help with whatever the office needs to be, well.. written. simple as that. :p
unlike in my previous job (as a news reporter) where i was always out on the field running around and beating deadlines, my new work is a lot more low-key. i do still occasionally have stressful days, but they mostly have to do with researching, thinking up fresh ideas, and trying to fulfill the client’s wishes.
so here is my work station at our temporary office. we’re going to transfer to a bigger, better one any day now..
and this is how you’ll find me everyday: forever glued to my screen and earphones seemingly stuck to my head. my colleagues would probably tell you that it’s difficult to get my attention as i usually have music blaring in my ears. hehe.
my new colleagues are a fun, young bunch. there are a lot of different personalities in the mix and they complement each other well.
plus, they are also quite stylish, no? (;
shirt – c/o simone’s closet
blazer – thrifted
riding boots – thrifted
bag – yrys (with cat keychain from bangkok)
PS
the photos of my co-workers were taken during our christmas party last december. our theme was k-pop. (:

Aww your work sounds fun! I'm always jealous when you tweet things like you need to research spring trends and are getting paid to read magazines and such! Eep! Love the old outfit (in the old photo location)! It's edgy and so different from your boho and menswear-inspired looks! Seriously you could pull off any look Bestie!!

Maybe I should change my wallpaper to one of my blog photos, too!:D
I love the pink cat keychain. Just enough pop of color in this all-black look 🙂
I'm also glued to my seat + computer for 8hrs/day. But instead of my iPod, I pump up the volume of my computer speakers. Muahahahaha 😀
