Gearing Up For “BER”

the phenomenon of the “ber” months is familiar to most filipinos, but is probably relatively unknown to the rest of the world. you see, on the onset of september (a.k.a. the first of the months ending in -ber), we seem to go into immediate “christmas mode”. we count down the days to the 25th of december, and every waking day from here on out seemingly gets devoted to preparations for the holidays (what? we really like christmas!). personally i get excited with these months primarily because of the fall season. not that we actually HAVE fall here, but temperatures do go down slightly and as blogs and magazines overflow with every kind of fall trend there is, i can’t help but feel giddy about the idea of wearing layers and boots and tights and everything else that is good about the season’s fashion.

here are a few dream outfit sets i whipped up for all sorts of occasions, you know, in case actual autumn reaches our tropical shores. but even if it doesn’t, i’m sure i’ll find a way to dress like fall — sweat and clamminess and all.
