Make Your Own Havaianas 2013

HAVAIANAS PHILIPPINES is at it again. this year, make your own havaianas is bigger, brighter, and more colorful than ever. last night i got my creative juices working at the media event, where we were all treated to a fun gathering of food and refreshing drinks, great music, and a happy carnival-esque party with fellow flip-flop enthusiasts. as you can see the pair i designed is outer space themed (the soles & straps are my best interpretation of the galaxy), and i am so, so crazy about it! i love the simplicity — and quirkiness! — of it, especially that adorable alien pin. in past MYOH events (i even became part of the staff a couple of times) i typically went for overloaded designs, but i find the simpler ones much easier to wear and have a longer lasting appeal to my ever-fickle taste.
