i often say that my personal style has no specific parameters and thus, constantly changes and evolves (read: fickle). i suppose i’ve always enjoyed the “dressing up” aspect of fashion — a day-to-day kind of game one enjoys peacefully in the comfort of her full-length mirror or, audaciously, out in the world. it still holds true to this day: i can go from preppy to bohemian to edgy virtually at the drop of a hat. but recently i’ve come to find that certain looks – or outfit pairings – get favored more than others. a dress-and-necklace combination, for example, or a clutch-and-heels pairing that i like tend to get used over and over again, typically with variations in other elements included in the look. when i was looking at these photos i noticed that this particular handbag gets paired with these loafer heels frequently (see here and here) even off the blog. this little discovery is a happy one for me; i always thought i would wander aimlessly in the world of personal style, but perhaps there is a part of me that has discovered some true loves in the realm of fashion. i still enjoy trying new things, of course, but having some bit of constant is not a bad thing, either.
