my obsession with nautical themes has led to an unexpected little turning point: my love for the color combination (red, white, blue) seemingly hints to a kind of patriotism not quite my own. in a month, americans will celebrate their independence day and here i am, halfway across the globe, looking quite aptly — and prematurely — dressed for it. i have yet to determine if this is a good thing, an inappropriate thing, or simply a… weird thing. but so far, me likey.
