i saw this shirt on a thrift shop rack and immediately thought of chanel’s iconic perfume. of course the shirt has nothing to do with chanel and was by all means a random find, but it was too silky and slinky to resist. today i wore it around practically without the velvet blazer and it proved to be a lovely, comfortable piece, incurring several compliments from people i saw — including john, who was with me when i bought it and was dubious of its then obvious-to-me charm. it’s nice when things turn around like that.
