i haven’t worn a look like this in ages as i think it falls under the quirky “office-y” category i so love, but i haven’t worked in an office setting in a long time so the concept practically flew out the window as well. but i got this new skirt and an awesome pair of loafers recently and really wanted to wear them together (i think the chunky, menswear shoes juxtaposed wonderfully against the saccharine outer space/chalk dust print of the skirt). so i threw on this look for a quick visit to my best friend karen, who is currently in the hospital. i was surprised to find that the hallways matched my little look (it’s a bit obscured in the photos but all the doors are painted pink!) and giggled about it the whole time. oh, life’s little joys…

Super like! You match colors so well :). How do you usually match your outfit’s color with your shoes and bag? i usually find doing that difficult. i’m reluctant at times bec i’m afraid that others might think my choices are mismatched. :/

oh i rarely follow any standard rules/guidelines with that and often just pair my outfit with a bag and shoes that i want to use or are most convenient. if it ends up kind of mismatched, i like it even more since i am all for crazy pairings haha. don’t be afraid to try something different. at the end of the day your outfits only need YOUR approval. xx
