From One Childhood To Another

i truly believe there are people who can and will remain a part of you no matter what — time and distance be damned. they shape you, teach you, continue to be there for you. tonight i had dinner with two of my oldest friends, girls with whom i used to play dolls and giggled from noon until the sun went down. for the first time in over a decade we got to sit down and catch up over delicious food, talking about moving away and getting married and plans for the future. we wiled the night away and as everything around us moved up or slowed down, the echo of our childhood rang alive with the sound of laughter and old memories we could not soon forget.
