Reason Knows Not

i find midi skirts to be getting trickier to style these days, but not because of some innate complication that comes with the territory. lately i’ve been wearing a lot of them on and off the blog and for some reason, i’ve been feeling a bit of pressure — mostly imposed on myself — to come up with new ways to wear the length. it doesn’t make me any less in love with the midi nor does it diminish my desire to don one almost every day, but i do find this a bit of a hurdle in my daily sartorial process.
sometimes it is important to just take a step back from all such pressure and over-thinking; fashion after all is a fun endeavor with endless possibilities. i’d like to think i will never change my view of dressing up: always enjoyable, effortless, and a true source of bliss. it shouldn’t matter that not every look i wear out is “unique” or “experimental” — it just has to make me happy.
