Sleek Blush By 3 Palette Review And Swatches: Lace, Sugar, Sweet Cheeks
i’d been lusting over sleek’s infamous blush by 3 palettes for ages, and in the last month or so managed to get my hands on three of my top picks from the selection. i purchased all my palettes from LUXOLA during sale season (black friday, cyber monday, holidays) so they were a lot cheaper! the ones i got are lace, sugar, and sweet cheeks, the latter of which from the sleek candy collection.
true to the brand name, sleek products come in expensive-looking, “sleek” packaging. i just love how chic and convenient they are (hello, big a$$ mirror!).
the lace palette is a coral-toned set. swatched above, from left to right, are crochet (matte bright coral), guipure (shimmery peachy-pink) and chantilly (matte deep pinky-coral). they are all incredibly pigmented, long-lasting and can be layered to create custom shades to flatter any skin tone.
blush by 3 in sugar is a surprising choice for me, as it has mostly deep, neutral tones that i always thought were too mature for my skin/age. but something about it really appealed to me, so i went ahead and bought it. all i can say is: i am in love. from left to right is turbinado (matte berry-brown), muscovado (shimmery bronzy plum) and demerara (matte dusty peach). truthfully these are slightly less pigmented than the other two palettes i have, but still show up beautifully on the skin. the create a nice flush on the cheeks and, true to the blush by 3 philosophy, can be layered on top of each other to get your ideal look.
i was most excited to try the sweet cheeks palette, being a huge pink-blush fanatic myself. i can honestly say that although i have mostly pink blushers in my makeup collection, all three shades from the sleek palette stand out in their own beautiful way. from left to right is candy floss (cream blue-toned pink), dolly mix (matte pale pinky-lilac) and cupcake (shimmery warm pink). i love the addition of a cream blusher here, however it can get a bit messy since its pigment payoff stains your fingers (i haven’t tried it, but perhaps brush application would work better?). for all three shades it’s important to apply with a light hand to avoid going overboard.
with all my sleek blush by 3 palettes i seriously believe i’m all set; like i will never need to buy another blusher ever again. haha. they are high quality, pigmented and boasting of exceptional lasting power, all at a reasonable price (and compact packaging to boot!). you can check them out — as well as hundreds of other make-up and beauty products — on luxola. use the code LXBLOG at checkout for 15% off on orders SG $25 (about Php 850) and above. plus they offer free expedited shipping with a minimum purchase of Php 1,400, which goes straight to your doorstep!
