Seafood Shack
i got reunited with some of my blogger friends a couple of days ago, and SEAFOOD SHACK, in tomas morato QC, was the glorious setting in which our usual revelry ensued. there really is nothing quite like the combination of great food and even greater company.
our spread: creamy mashed potato, grilled corn with cheese, clam chowder (soup of the day), backed clams with butter and cheese, cajun wings with ranch dressing, fried baby squid with cocktail sauce, southern cheese blocks, shack’s catch in shack daddy sauce, and of course plenty of shack rice to pair everything with.
the biggest hits were the appetizers, especially the cheesy corn and cheese blocks (SO yum!), but of course we had such a blast going through all the other dishes. i found the seafood dishes incredibly tasty, with that unmistakeable hint of sweetness you only get from the freshest catch. i found their rice concoction to be the most delightful partner for the food as well; in fact i was the only one who finished an entire order of it! haha no shame there: when i go back to the resto i’m sure i will eat just as much — if not more. #oink
