See The Signs

there are few advocacies i feel very strongly about, and today i am wearing a necklace in support of one that i feel is of utmost importance. this empowerment circle of support necklace by avon anchors their 10-year campaign (6 years in the philippines) against domestic violence, arming the public with the right information to help stop abuse. it is said that 1 out of 3 women become victims of domestic violence and we do not often recognize its subtle indications around us–even with the people we love. with avon’s #SeeTheSigns campaign and profits from sales of supporting merchandise, people may be educated about the realities of abuse and see the truth behind the myths (domestic violence does NOT just pertain to physical abuse nor is it experienced only by married couples). with this worthy cause we can help women the world over and stand up stronger, together.
As I grow older, much older, I will experience many things, and I will hit rock bottom again and again. Again and again I will suffer; again and again I will get back on my feet. I will not be defeated. I won’t let my spirit be destroyed.
