as you can probably tell by now, i’m not much of a summer/beach baby. i don’t go planning trips left and right, and this was, in fact, my first dip in the water all year–and it came just as summer officially ended. even then it was not a proper beach experience; rather a weekend stay in the mountains that happened to give me access to a pool, which happily enough remained relatively empty throughout our stay. all that said i did quite enjoy flopping around the water a bit, which was made more delightful by light drizzles here and there (really not a fan of the scorching sun!) and my boyfriend who turns into a silly little kid when he hits the water.
