Fluttering From The Autumn Tree
photos by john
the fact that we live in a country without the four season cycle will always bum me out some. drastic shifts in temperature, transitions in clothing and footwear, and access to season-specific food are the things i do feel i am missing out on — though they are admittedly some of the same aspects that i’m sure plenty of people around the globe find rather taxing. i do know living through drawn-out bouts of winter is not the easiest feat, especially for someone so accustomed to tropical climate, but just imagine all the wonderful in-betweens like autumn and spring when nature rears its prettiest face and people are in a seeming state of bliss. it’s thoughts like this that make me daydream about being granted my three magical wishes: i cannot say for certain what other things i will ask for but you can be assured one of them will bring us a little bit of spring, a little bit of summer, and some magical weeks of fall and winter…

i’d ask for something like that too. sweaters and boots and layering our outfits would be something exciting to wear & do; like we’d look forward at how we can re-layer different outfits together during autumn and winter :).
btw, i layered a button-down and my fave floral dress in school the other day (when it got rainy) and wore the next day the peter-pan collared red sweater dress i bought in le caprice which my students and coteachers found very fashionable :). cute even! thank you bestie! My “think-like-bestie” principle really works, don’t you think? 😀
