Wishlist Wednesday: Holiday Party Dresses

every year when the holidays roll around i, as i’m sure many others do, get completely drawn to all sorts of fancy wear fit for the season. i may not attend a whole lot of parties this time of year but i sure like to ogle all the festive garb and daydream about those fabulous glitzy parties. bring on the wine! 😉

anyway, i found a website that sells tons and tons of lovely party dresses — from cocktail to formal, simple to bejewelled — and i have picked some of my favorites for the upcoming party season to share with you all.

first up are these gorgeous frocks in rich hues of the season: red and green and lots of other gorgeous gem tones. i find these hues to be the most festive and party-appropriate for this time of year, when it’s all about resplendence and extravagance. don’t they look so beautifully lush?

for those not into colored brights, there are plenty of holiday dresses available in black and/or white and in all sorts of lengths and silhouettes to suit your taste. even with all the sparkle i still find these monochromatic dresses to be classic and sophisticated — certainly statement pieces to endure time and trends.

another option i like to go for with party dresses is the sweet route: pretty pastels with equal parts bling and frills. hey, ’tis the season to dress up after all! i think wearing something a bit unusual such as a powdery blue frock or a lavender bejewelled number is not only pretty and feminine, but also a great way to stand out amid a sea of dark, deep tones. they may not be to everybody’s tastes but i know i’ll have an especially sweet evening wearing any one of these beauties!
