our weather has been terribly annoying lately. i thought the temperatures starting to dip some weeks ago was a sign of cooler, cozier days ahead — but boy was i wrong. some days i wake up completely drenched in sweat and for a few seconds i wonder if i’ve time-traveled to the middle of summer. even my quick, 2-minute walks outside have become utterly unbearable: the scorching wind blows hard on the back of my neck and our trademark tropical humidity seems to intensify with every step that i take. i realize there are much, much worse things happening in the world and my weather-related complaints are pointless at best…but i still wish we had more refreshingly chilly days to look forward to.
when i’m feeling extra hot — and desperate — i just grab something knit and cozy and make my way to the frigid, but welcoming, arms of the movie theater..

Oh wow…the weather is anything but predictable, let me tell you that. Come to Jakarta! The weather’s quite nice here right now, it rains sometimes too so it’s quite cool.
