8th Year
welcome to my annual recap of yet another year of blogging. above are 24 of my favorite documented looks from the past year, as well as a small peek into the changes my hair went through in that amount of time. i actually forgot that my locks have been blonde, purple, pink and dark ash in 2015! looking at these pictures makes me miss all the fun-ness of hair experimentation; however, running my fingers thru my sad, damaged strands now reminds me exactly why i won’t ever do it again. hah!
the capricious club‘s 8th year online was a fun one indeed, albeit with its own ups and downs. the most notable change here was the little makeover i did to my blog design, which was seriously overdue. i wanted an upgraded look that still felt nostalgic and looked pretty, so i went with this rustic, watercolor floral theme. i’m sure i will get tired of it again at some point, but looking at it now, i am still madly in love.
style-wise, i feel like two major things happened: i settled into a skirt length preference (i stuck with midi lengths most days) and i seem to have developed a fondness for a) the color blue and b) classic black-and-white pairings. i am excited to see how my new style predilections will continue and/or evolve through 2016. either way, i’m sure i will be at the ready to document them for the blog, alongside my boyfriend john who lends me a hand and constantly pushes me to do better.
as always i thank you for sticking by my sartorial whims all these years, and for leaving kind words not only here but on my social media pages as well. i appreciate each and every one of you and i hope you continue to enjoy visiting the capricious club. here’s to eight years–going on nine!

Aww Bestie! Following you through your blog and social media accts makes me feel like you’re my bestie for years na. LOL sorry, #corny. But seriously though, your blog is my go-to website whenever I go online. I’ve always loved scrolling through your archives– I have to take cue on how to pull off the vintage-and-at-the-same-time-modern style. You’re style is the Jessica Day to my Cece Parekh (from my fave series New Girl)! So adorbs!
Always here to fangirl for another 8 years (and more),
