Bridesmaid In Blue
Up, up, fair bride, and call
Thy stars from out their several boxes, take
Thy rubies, pearls, and diamonds forth, and make
Thyself a constellation of them all
if you follow me on instagram you may have seen a couple of my recent posts mentioning a weekend in tagaytay, where my best friend of over two decades married the love of her life. alongside another close friend of ours, i had the honor and privelege of serving as one of her maids of honor and it was hectic, to say the least. the days leading up to the wedding were especially packed with tasks and errands to complete, and yet i found myself enjoying every moment of it. the wedding itself seemingly went by slowly, but also in a mad blur of pastel dresses and pretty flowers and tears…never-ending happy tears.
i’m sorry i don’t have other pictures from the ceremony or the reception to show here. everything was so utterly beautiful and i was so caught up in the moment that i scarcely remembered to pull out my phone to document everything. thank goodness for john who insisted on taking these quick snaps at twilight — though we were both shivering from the cold that i’m surprised we even got through those freezing minutes out in the open. i do regret not having taken more pictures but i can’t feel too bad about it, since i got to savor every magical moment and i wouldn’t trade it for the world.
also, because of all the chaos of the wedding i forgot: my blog turned 9 last week! x
