you guys know i love to do a good ol’ fashioned holiday gift guide around here, so i’m excited to get things started with this year’s picks. first up: everything beauty!

i’m a sucker for quirky — but actually useful — tools for makeup, skincare, haircare and everything in between. the cuter and stranger, the more appealing it seems to me. so for my picks from One Spot Beauty, i went with items like a fun holographic brush set, a mini eyelash curler (those stubborn outer corner lashes don’t know what’s coming!) and a hair diffuser attachment perfect for wavy and curly hair. i legitimately want to buy two of each of these items: one for me and one for gifting. i can already think of someone who’d be stoked to get those magnetic lashes!

mini/deluxe size beauty products are literally the best. whether you are on a strict budget, looking to try an over-hyped product (i’m lookin’ at you laura mercier translucent powder), prefer compact containers for ease of transport, or are simply afraid of commitment, this is the perfect solution. you know what else minis are great for? GIFTING. you can buy as many or as few as you like for the beauty lover/s in your life and i guarantee it will be a hit.

as big of a cheapskate as i am, i can’t deny the allure of giving and receiving more lavish presents during the holidays. admittedly, i am more open to splurging on items that will last a long time — clothing, shoes and bags, electronics, etc. — but there is something to be said for the occasional investment purchase from a trusted, luxury beauty brand. wouldn’t you agree?
