copycat
about two months ago, i attended this book launch thing at my university. there, i saw the most stylish lady who was probably in her early-mid 50’s. she was wearing a well-fitting white button-down shirt, a belted high-waisted denim skirt and chunky wooden platform shoes. it doesn’t sound like much, but the way she wore the outfit was incredible. i couldn’t stop staring at her and very nearly asked if i could take her picture. i didn’t, though, but until this day i wish i had.
white shirt – kisses & co. (local brand)
denim skirt – thrifted
scarf – thrifted
belt – thrifted
two-tone oxfords – vintage; eBay
bag – vintage

on a different note, i’d like to respond to a comment by a certain “anonymous” asking where i buy my tights. they’re from sm department store. and they’re only P150 each, isn’t that insane?(:

I live in Manila, too! But I can’t seem to find any thrift shopping places. Or perhaps I just haven’t been looking hard enough. If you don’t mind my asking, where do you go thrifting? =)
I also discovered the sm tights about a month ago and managed to buy all the colors even if I was only looking for the purple ones. Hahaha! The ubiquitous leggings here are getting rather annoying. Hahaha.

I followed your link from flicker. I love your style. Everything you put together looks fabulous on you.
If I were only younger, sigh.

This is a lovely look–that skirt is wonderful. I like the simplicity but classiness and the outfit you described on that lady sounds nice as well. I think the best outfits aren’t always the most complicated.

I love your shoes. There are definitely some older women I really admire so much… this outfit reminds me of pre-crazy Lauren Hutton a little bit for some reason!
