bow diy
typhoon frank was just about to start gaining momentum that day… so i took my newly-thrifted denim jacket with me and see how it would hold against the rain.
well, it didn’t quite rain while i was out. in fact it was pretty hot, but i still used it while inside the movie theater. i watched made of honor and had a blast. at times, i thought the humor was a bit forced but in the end it was a fun movie. i loved michelle monaghan’s outfits, too
dress – mango
slip underneath – thrifted
oxfords – thrifted
cropped denim jacket – thrifted
headband/bow – self-made
to be perfectly honest, the giant bow headband was inspired by the ever-lovely rhiannon. she wrote about her obsession with bows as hair accessories and i could totally relate to it. i love bows of every kind and plastering a great, big giant one on my hair didn’t sound as scary as i thought it might. but the d.i.y. WAS last minute and i didn’t have any real crafty equipment, so i had to improvise. i tied a red sash (which belongs to my little sister’s blouse) to a floral piece of cloth (which came with this dress) and voila! instant headband.

The bow is really lovely.
And so is the dress, especially with that slip underneath. Very innocent-sexy.

So sweet! I usually steer clear of super “kawaii” items, but lately I’ve been wearing a ribbon in my hair, it’s fun.
