tag, times two
here are some long-overdue tags.
first is from angela of Rags and Scribbles.
1. What were you doing ten years ago?
ten years ago, i was 12 and a sixth grader. i don’t know, i was probably dealing with the little dramas that come with being 12. it’s kind of an awkward time, isn’t it? but i think i did okay. i made some of my best friends in sixth grade, people i still see and hang out with. we even have little class reunions every so often…
2. What are 5 things on your to-do list today?
+ rest. i’m suffering from stomach cramps (it’s that time of month) and can’t really do much else.
+ read and comment on as many blogs as i can.
+ NOT visit eBay. i am just too broke.
+ finish a paper for school. ack.
+ e-mail my dad.
3. What are the snacks you enjoy?
honestly, next to fashion, food is the love of my life. i eat practically anything. for snacks, i usually go for something chocolatey or sweet. i like making sandwiches, too (whenever i can), like peanut butter with banana slices. yum! i also like eating junk food (ugh, i know, i know). cheetos never fails to make me happy, i must say..
4. Where are the places you have lived?
oh, wow. manila — and that’s it. i’ve lived in the same apartment for about 21 years, until a few months ago when we transferred to another one about a block away. exciting, eh?
5. What are 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?
+ probably blow most of it on really pointless things, like buying 12 of everything.
+ i think i might get convinced to invest in a business of some sort… so i’ll do that, too. (to make my mother happy.)
+ once i get convinced to venture in the business realm, someone will most likely persuade me to donate to charity as well, and who’s to say no to that?
+ travel like crazy. everywhere.
+ invest in/donate to medical researches. (wow, where did that come from?)
6. Who are the people you would like to know more about?
hmm. probably all the fashionable folk i see on street-style sites. take martina, for example, featured on hel-looks a while back. she said “I love all things beautiful: Audrey Hepburn, London Soho, Portobello Road, big skirts, showy dresses, high heels, red lipstick. I love the way my friends dress up and I love to dress up for the parties like this. My clothes are like adopted children. Fashion is my life style. This skirt is from Lux, earrings Chanel.” — see, i’d love to know why her clothes are like adopted children. things like that.
FIVE THINGS
5 Things found in my bag: (here i refer to my ‘big’ bag, which i take to school/work)
+ make-up kit with everything i could need in a day. it’s really quite heavy.
+ cash, scattered all over
+ handy dandy notebook
+ bunch of pens (i am not allowed to run out of ink)
+ spare pair of shoes (if i am wearing heels, the spare would be slippers or a pair of ballet flats. if i’m wearing flats, the spare’s a pair of heels. you get the idea.)
5 Things found in my purse: (this refers to ‘smaller’ bags; things i use when out with friends and things like that)
+ lip gloss
+ ID’s
+ keys
+ coin purse
+ USB flash drive. i don’t know, i just always take it with me.
5 Favorite Things in my room:
+ my red wardrobe
+ the yellow door leading to my very own balcony
+ tv and dvd set
+ bookcase (plus the books, obviously)
+ an ancient wooden trunk that belonged to my grandmother
5 Things I’ve always wanted to do:
+ see the pyramids in egypt
+ go around new york on foot (i’m convinced the pain will be worth it)
+ experience a cheesy movie-like scene in the rain. do those things really ever happen?
+ travel through time
+ fly
5 Things I’m currently into:
+ dvd marathons
+ big bows on everything
+ eating binges (oh, boy)
+ trying to get people to stop smoking. mygod they are everywhere.
+ dancing to rock music
5 Impressions of kater (al this happiness), who tagged me:
+ pretty girl with such enviable hair
+ a-m-a-z-i-n-g style. she has a great eye for vintage treasures.
+ lovely taste in everything, from clothes to art to food and books
+ wonderful writer. truly.
+ what i love most about her blog is the nostalgia of it all; how excitement somehow mixes with melancholy, in such beautiful, bittersweet words that touch the reader’s heart.
for both tags, i choose not to tag anyone else (sorry) because i really am a lazy little brat and i am also in terrible pain and cannot think clearly. if you want to answer it though, then please feel free to do so.(:
moving on to other matters…
i went to greenbelt a few days back to buy a dress from marc by marc jacobs. i’d been drooling over it for weeks and finally couldn’t stop the urge to shell-out the cash for it. sadly, i went there and the dress of my dreams was gone. ah, that is life.
so i shopped elsewhere. i went to topshop, for one, and bought a dress i had also been oggling at for a while. the picture on the left is what i was wearing, and the one on the right is the dress that i bought. i thought i’d take advantage of the 10% student discount they were offering. hah.
