Treadstone Without The Inconsistency
the skies were getting even more troublesome yesterday and being cooped up indoors watching the all the devastating news was getting to be too depressing, so i braved the stormy weather with a friend and watched THE BOURNE LEGACY. it was something i had been looking forward to for months, not because i am a fan of the franchise (although i did watch the previous 3 movies), but because i was extremely anxious to see the parts shot here in manila.
don’t worry, i won’t give away any spoilers but i will say this: i had quite a laugh at those scenes shot locally – some due to the random tagalog profanities injected here and there – and i’m pretty sure i was smiling all through the chase scene in manila’s distinct traffic scene. i even took note of a brief shot of the sign “raberly”, one of my favorite thrift shop franchises, which made me giggle for a second.
oh, the little joys of life.
i hope you were all safe and dry the last few days of the horrible monsoon! at least now the skies have cleared and we can all sleep a little better. let us all continue to pray for those affected by the calamity and hope for the speedy rehabilitation of affected areas.
