about a week ago i dropped by THE APPRAISERY for a wee blogger get-together. we got acquainted with how the store works, and got a taste of some of their yummy yummy treats. i can tell you now: this quaint little joint along annapolis st., greenhills is worth your visit.

a buy-and-sell fashion hub, THE APPRAISERY offers a cool new shopping experience for manileños. there you can find pre-selected – and mostly pre-loved – items to suit every kind of style under the sun. more importantly, you can also bring in stuff from your closet in need of a new home.

it’s pretty simple, really: you bring in your old favorites in exchange for store credit or cash on the spot. the appraisery’s in-house stylist will inspect your item/s and if deemed sellable, will be given a price. if you want to get paid, you get 30% of that price in cash. but if not, you can get store credit worth 50% of the price. best part is you don’t have to wait until the item sells; they give you cash or store credit as soon as your item is priced!

i personally didn’t bring anything to sell, but had a ton of fun going through their racks and finding some really cool things. i wasn’t exactly in “shopping mode” though so i ended up leaving the store empty-handed — but with a resolute promise to come back and hoard hoard hoard.
