it has been said time and again that every girl should have a little black dress in her closet; one that is effortlessly thrown on at moment’s notice and worn to just about every type of occasion. while it is a perfectly rational concept with which i have no qualms to accept, i must say my favorite closet staple will always be the little white dress. it seems to be more versatile and weather-appropriate, and personally an easier canvas to work with. if i could, i would stock my wardrobe with dozens of darling white dresses — one for my every kind of whim. wouldn’t you?
