Le Drapeau Blanc

something about this look makes me oddly comfortable, as though i am wearing pieces i have owned all my life. in truth only the jeans come close — the shirt and bag are relatively recent thrift finds, the shoes have been worn barely a handful of times and the white blazer arrived just last week — and yet there is a definite sense of familiarity with these clothes. perhaps it is the “look” as a whole: a proper mixture of androgyny and preppiness that i have always held true and dear. it’s been a while since i’ve worn an outfit like this (i don’t have an office job anymore and hardly find the need to throw on a blazer for my grocery runs) and there is undeniable satisfaction in going back to your old, most beloved tricks.
