Café Mary Grace
a few weeks ago i mentioned my mini “reunion” of sorts with a couple of childhood friends. we met up at sm north the block and made our way to MARY GRACE (my choice–it’s one of my faves!) which only recently opened in the mall. we ordered a different pasta each, and had a truly delightful experience munching on comfort food while catching up and laughing at the most random things.
our spread included mushroom pasta, amatriciana pasta (their version of the classic meatball spaghetti) and scampi pasta, which was my order, and tasted absolutely heavenly. we ended our meal with an order each of the tsoknut hot chocolate (served a little too thick and sweet, so we had ours watered down to a more drinkable state) and a warmed-up cheese roll that we all shared.
visiting café mary grace always proves to be an adventure on its own, and a memorable one at that. this year i dined at the restaurant a handful of times — including on my birthday — and frequently buy their baked goods (lemon squares, ooh la la!) and can say undoubtedly that it is a place i will continue to visit in years to come.
