Six Today
dear reader,
so lovely of you to drop by today to celebrate with me. (:
it is rather bizarre to think that this little style blog has been around for six whole years. when i started the capricious club, it was with no other intention other than to document my daily sartorial adventures and have a means by which i can connect with other fashion enthusiasts around the globe. so much has happened since then — not only with this space on the web, but also the fashion/personal style blogosphere as a whole — that i often feel overwhelmed by it all. the outpour of love, support and opportunity never ceases to amaze me; i simply cannot express my gratitude enough.
through it all i am happiest to note my continued love for everything vintage, thrift-shopping, style experimentation, and pretty photographs that help portray my every outfit story. these, i believe, uphold my vision as a blogger, as well as the aesthetics and philosophies that go along with it. being a personal style blogger in this competitive, too-many-blogs-to-read digital age comes with the inevitable challenge of staying true to who you are — an even bigger challenge to rise to the occasion and simply be comfortable in your own skin, your own quirks, your own style.
being in this field i have learned more lessons than i can count and, while hardly an expert on the subject, i can tell you this: when you blog, do so with love. let it flow through your words and your pictures and everything in between. (yes, people can tell.)
and to that i add: be thankful for everything you have. there is greatness in the littlest of things. hold on to moments that bring you happiness — big or small, lasting or fleeting. in the end you will find that they are all worthwhile.

Happy 6 wonderful years to your blog Ms. Bestie! I remember i discovered your blog sa facebook na, mga 2012 na yata. And since then iv’e been one of your solid readers talaga. I even told you nung BU5 na you were the one who inspired me to create a blog din, kasi you are really doing it to express, not to impress. I realized din na if you’re going to make someone happy, be it yourself first by doing what you love. Let other’s opinions be damned. Happy anniversary to your blog! The first time I discovered your account was on instagram, I was very fond of reading comments and then I saw your comment on one of Ms. Joanna Ladrido’s post. I also check your ig account and the moment I saw all your beautiful pictures (whoaaa) I was really amazed and it was like love at first sight (hehehe *,*). I checked on your blog right away to look where did you buy all your lovely clothes and dresses though I had a feeling that it was expensive and I that I may not able to buy any, and to my surprise some of your clothes were thrifted. I was really amazed because your look was so polished and classic and you can pull any outfit and still look gorgeous and unique. From then on, reading your blog became part of my daily routine. You inspire me a lot. =). I even bought skirts same as yours (really a fan girl). I had a picture with you during BU5 but I was sad my phone crashed and all my pictures were deleted. I’m looking forward to have a picture with you again. Your photos are so lovely, may I ask what camera do you use? I know this has been asked to you before (hehe).. photos are usually taken with a nikon D80, but this set was with a D90. hope that helps!
