Loud Heartbeats Under Coats

i have been feeling especially inspired to dress in autumnal looks lately, which comes as no surprise as fall is my favorite season (i realize the irony in that statement as i type these words in our inalterably tropical climes). all the layers and rich hues, the boots, the lush prints–i want them all. so i put together my version of a fall look, one that calls to mind the season while standing firm in the realm of what is sensible. i focused mostly on autumn’s earthy color palette and chose lightweight pieces that are layer-friendly, then strapped on my new boots for a day around town. the sun set quite early that day; we captured these shots just in time and walked off into the night, the air shifting slightly with a cool breeze and the star-dotted sky lending a peek into the dazzling months ahead. this is my favorite time of the year.

since we’re on the topic of autumnal dressing in the tropics, anyone interested in seeing more outfit ideas from me? i’m thinking of filming a lookbook dedicated to it. x
