as i put together this look to wear in my blog’s 8th blogversary post a couple of weeks ago, i was checking myself in the mirror and oddly enough, got a familiar sense of nostalgia. something about the outfit made me think of le good ol’ blogging days, when i experimented a lot with color and pattern-mixing and incorporated quite a whimsical theme to my looks. lately i’ve felt a lot more inclined to dress this way, and i’ve felt less pressured to over-analyze every little detail to make an outfit seem ‘perfect’ to peering eyes. there is beauty in the imperfect, after all — an idea that is easy to forget, being on the internet all the time. sometimes, all it takes is to step back to realize how much better it feels knowing that i am doing (or wearing) what i love and nobody can tell me otherwise.
