A Bit Of This, A Bit Of That
during this time of year, when the outdoors are constantly gloomy and most days end in a rather intense downpour, i find myself turning to even more sources of entertainment indoors. like most people, i often find myself browsing online: watching youtube videos, scrolling mindlessly through instagram, and of course, seeing what new deals await on shopee (lol).
because of this, i’ve recently revived my passion for all things makeup and beauty, after having lost my interest in them at the height of the pandemic. it’s already translated to a few new purchases over the last few weeks, as well as an ever growing list of must-buys before the year ends.
similarly, i have experienced a great rekindling of my love for fashion and dressing up–particularly with accessorizing. these are things in my life that have somewhat fallen by the wayside over the last couple of years, when priorities shifted drastically for a lot of us. but now i am back in the thick of it, and i couldn’t be more excited!
i’ve immersed myself in the jewelry game once more, spending a good chunk of my days perusing online selections both local and abroad. one of my favorite resources these last few years has been AURATE, a fine jewelry company based in new york. they offer high quality, sustainable pieces made with ethical gold and diamonds, with a focus on classic, clean design.
my fixation of late has been pretty, dainty necklaces. AURATE has an abundance of them on their site, with everything so beautifully curated that you never overwhelmed. if anything, you’ll just want to buy them all. 😉 aren’t they so stunning?
and since necklaces have been haunting my dreams lately, i asked the hubby for a wee treat, which he gladly obliged:
behold: my first string of pearls from @nobelajewelry by liz lanuzo. i have been ooh-ing and aah-ing over her pieces for a while now and i could not be happier to finally own one of her little treasures. it’s the no. 43 necklace, with a gold-plated silver lock — and she’s a beaut.
finally, i leave you with some neutral fall goodness from my old pal SHOPBOP:
i actually took a break from shopping on there as the prices were getting a bit ridiculous, and my closet has been close to bursting for, um, ever. but browsing the good ol’ shopbop sale section is still effective as ever: i now have a dozen pretty things chillin’ in my cart. honestly, it’s a double-edged sword. but i’ll take it.
