flowers, anyone?
fact: i have never been a fan of floral prints.
it’s not that i don’t like them, i’m just never able to decide which ones would look more girly-chic and not, i don’t know, ick. so i literally steer away from them when i go shopping/thrifting, because the mental torture would be too much for me to bear. oh, imagine all the wonderful things i must have missed, all these years! *sigh* but i must not dwell on regret. there is still time.
the recent luella spring collection included dresses done in the prettiest floral patterns i’ve seen so far. they are so wonderfully dainty. i really kind of blame them for my current obsession with floral prints.
so now, i am determined to search high and low for the perfect floral dress. or dresses. i’d prefer the latter, obviously. and to anticipate this, i created outfits around two different types of floral dresses: one for spring, one for summer. (as though i had the luxury of changing seasons…)
i used one of the famous topshop tea dresses here. i especially like the design on this one because the colorful flowers create a beautiful contrast against the otherwise dark dress. the yellow tights are actually optional… in fact i think the look might be better without it. oh well!
(i know, the sun looks a bit kooky, but it was the best i could find)
i really like the print on this one, too. it’s from dorothy perkins and the colors are just yummy. i haven’t worn anything like this in my life, but i definitely like the idea of it.
hopefully, soon, i would be able to parade in my new flower-power dress. (except, i won’t parade. i’ll just walk like a normal human being.)

What lovely dresses! My favourite is the first one. Probably not the season to wear it but i still want it!
