these days it’s quite a rare thing for me to put together an ensemble like this one. not precisely because of how it looks, but rather because of all the pieces that go into it. you see, these last few months i’ve been getting a lot of sponsored things from shops and brands… and while i am genuinely grateful for them and appreciate the intentions that go into sending gifts to me, i sometimes crave for outfits that are largely (if not entirely) composed of items that i picked out and paid for myself — thrifted or otherwise. i revel in the joy, the distinct familiarity, and the unassumingness of it all.

it is also a happy coincidence that a lot of the items i am wearing here (shoes, belt and clutch, specifically) have been in my wardrobe for at least four years. it may not be a big deal for some, but things like that really make me quite nostalgic and endow me with an odd sense of accomplishment. (:
