Sleek i-Divine Palettes Review And Swatches: Oh So Special, Storm
i’ve had a ton of SLEEK products on my wishlist for the longest time, so i was completely overjoyed to discover them on luxola.com. a few products from the brand are sold locally in select shops, but for some reason the specific ones i want were never stocked when i wanted to buy them, or otherwise priced too much more than what i’d be willing to pay.
besides the blush by 3 palettes, sleek’s i-divine eyeshadows are their most raved about products. i purchased my first two sets on separate sale events on luxola and got both for really good deals (about P400+ each!). the palettes i have are oh so special, a mostly pink-and-neutral selection perfect for the girly girl, and storm, which has plenty of bright and deep neutrals and a few pops of color thrown in.
as with the brand’s signature packaging, the i-divine palettes come in sleek, compact cases that are ultra light and handy. there is a good sized mirror and a double-ended sponge tip applicator included as well.
the oh so special palette comes with a thin film of plastic with each eyeshadow’s name printed on top. storm does not include this feature (sad!), and i’m not entirely sure which other palettes have the same detail on them. i much prefer shadows with names though!
anyway here are their swatches:
oh so special, top row
oh so special’s six colors on top are mostly shimmer shades, but with plenty of variation. i know the blue seems out of place but it is a beautiful pop of color – perhaps on the lower lash line – combined with the palette’s other hues.
oh so special, bottom row
the second row, on the other hand, contains 5 out of 6 mattes and has deeper hues–great for creating depth and definition on an otherwise soft look with the palette.
storm, top row
storm’s first row has 5 metallic shades and one matte, all in very pretty neutral hues. most are highly pigmented (the matte brown doesn’t show up too well but works great as a soft transition color) and extremely wearable.
storm, bottom row
the bottom set of 6 sees a diverse color selection that includes a couple of blues and a deep green. the last two shades are matte (the jet black pretty much the same as oh so special’s last color) and again, wonderful for creating depth and drama.
although i have only two of these i-divine palettes, i have already made up my mind about sleek’s eyeshadow sets: they are fabulous and i am obsessed. i know the brand makes plenty more rave-worthy products and at some point i’m sure i will branch out even more. as for these palettes, i am still eyeing sunset (beautiful warm brights), bad girl (smokey eye set with deep grays, greens & purples) and vintage romance (soft golds and flattering purples).
